Business Friend Or Business Foe?
It’s funny in today’s Business market what you find out. It’s even funnier to find out what you really thought just isn’t the case. I have the responsibility of working for and with Business owners to obtain financing and credit for their business. This can be a daunting task but at the same time extremely rewarding. Are you going to get to Donald Trump status by doing this work, maybe or maybe not? This isn’t the point anyways. The responsibility to help mold and shape both new and existing businesses is a responsibility I take very serious. This work is very dear to me as I truly enjoy seeing Business owners make it! There is a strange feeling when it comes to business and a lot of business owners out there reading this know exactly what I am talking about. You’re in business and you’re either a leader or a follower. This world has a tremendous amount of followers simply because Leaders do not lack the capability to “dance on their toes” as we call it. You have to be able to make a decision in a split second and not only that, once the decision is made you have to be able to stand by it good or bad and you must be able to rebound quickly when situations arise.
I wanted to touch base on what it means to be a friend or foe? In the corporate world you either make the decisions or you carry out the orders given to you by the Leader. Don’t let what you think is going on be what is really going on catch my drift? In the Corporate world there is a “game” being played that you need to stay up on and also understand where you actually fit in line with your company status. Again, are you a leader or a follower? And if you decide where you stand you need to ask yourself how you arrived at this decision on status. This is most important in the pecking order of doing business. There are individuals that do the norm and then there are individuals that rise above the doubt and go beyond the barrier to help a Business owner simply because they enjoy helping people. If you’re a business owner reading this you know what I am talking about. If you’re a potential business owner looking to start a business this is a must read article for you. Some people dream of success while others wake up and work hard at it every day.
Understanding your role in the corporate world is extremely important. I have heard the story many times from business owners who thought they were part of something or some organization only to find out the real deal, they were just a pawn in the process. How upsetting is this situation? I know firsthand how this feels from experience. Sometimes in life it takes some hard knock lessons to really fully understand your role or what your role might end up being. Trust me it happens more than you think. Everyday some company somewhere is using you as a tool or pawn to get what they need and that’s just the nature of the beast. Now there are companies out there that will absolutely not even engage in this type of activity and they are very successful. You don’t need to bend the rules nor hurt anyone in the process of becoming a real business. Are you a friend or a foe to them? Understand this it could be your demise. If you are a friend then make it clear what your role is in the company or don’t even get started with them. Knowing the outcome is important but again nobody can see the future and what it holds. If you’re a foe to them they realize you will be used and you will be let go and you will become a follower. Don’t let yourself fall into this pattern. Identify it right from the get go. I have worked for many companies that hire me to do backend systems for them and help maintain the client process from start to finish and I can tell you first hand you want to work for yourself. Working for yourself eliminates you from falling into the category of friend or foe reason why, simple, you work for you period. If you feel like you don’t want to be a toll or pawn then take the plunge and go into business for yourself. It isn’t easy but it’s doable. Is it time consuming, yes it is? Will it take a toll on your soul yes it will but is it worth it, 100%!
Remember as they change we change and believe me when I tell you it changes every day. Thanks for the reads I do appreciate it feel free to contact me with any of your business needs to see what I can do to help you identify if you are friend or foe where you work… Take care hope to see you at the finish line.
